How do you make the parm chees stick to the corn when making Paula Deans corn on the cob?

Hi, Paula Dean has a recipie for her corn on the cob using mayo and parm cheese. I coat the corn with the mayo then roll it in the parm cheese then wrap it in the foil, then grill it. When I open the foil there is no cheese left on the corn, it is stuck to the foil and its not crusty the way she shows it, any suggestions?
