Yes it is normal, but (no offense) you know you'll never get her because she is 11 years older than you and she might already be in a relationship. Try looking for girls in your grade that you like and try crushing on them. You have more chances dating them. If you really need to profess you're love to this teacher, do it anonymously, like send her a candygram on valentines day or send her a secret admirer letter, make sure you type it though because it is most likely that she knows your hand writing.
